Last night, the building two doors down from Art Collective caught fire. The two businesses on the first floor, Tiara Day and The Record Exchange, were two of the many small businesses that make downtown Frederick such a special place. My heart aches for the owners of both stores, as I loved spending time (and money) in both shops. Please consider donating to help with their expenses of starting a small business over from scratch. Insurance helps, but it doesn’t cover everything. The fundraiser also helps the Frederick Book Arts Center, a downtown nonprofit teaching the dying art of letterpress printing and bookbinding, which was affected by a fire in June. Thanks!

Join Chelsea after the shop closes on Weds. March 23 for a workshop on techniques to manipulate alcohol inks on a special paper. Your eyes will be delighted by the way these translucent inks flow when you drip, blow, splat and move them around on a polypropylene paper. You will learn new techniques and leave with inks of your own and some drawings/paintings that you'll love. Register now to hold your spot for this class. https://artcollectivefrederick.square.site

If you can’t enjoy Springtime in Paris in person, you can at least wear these and pretend you’re in the City of Lights sipping coffee at a sidewalk café. I found these Paris-themed tiles at and paired them with vintage spacer beads and Czech crystals. Can-can your way to and pick up this one of a kind bracelet and matching earrings.
