Long post warning:
7 years ago a door shut in my career, and Allow Me Consulting became a window of my creation. Today, I am closing the door here because other windows have opened to me. Thank you to all the clients who put their faith in me and hired me for projects and grant writing. Thank you to my team who helped me launch : Matthew Johnson, Ana Filipovic Windsor and Lindsey Grubb.
I will always be grateful to those that reached out to me when the door closed and I was in the dark, not knowing which way to go. For those that might not know, 7 years ago I returned to work after my Mom’s funeral and was told the place had been reorganized. My job no longer existed. I didn’t know who I was- not a daughter, and certainly not the position I loved. The community that surrounded me gave me strength, helped me believe I would see light again- and challenged me to consider consulting. I became myself again and found a way to help others and pay my bills. Thank you!!
Today I closed the bank account, took down the website and forwarded the email for Allow Me Consulting to [email protected] my nonprofit, and my focus now. I may take on a special project from time to time- but my future will be focused on opening doors to affordable housing. Again- thank you for 7 wonderful and fulfilling years!
