LITZ

A decade ago, Four-headed funktronic giant LITZ began leading listeners on energetically-charged adventures through feeling and sound.
Funktronica 4-piece from MD
~ a healthy dose of funk with an electronic twist ~
- studio albums & live shows spanning over a decade -
šļø KEEP AN EYE FOR OUR NEXT SHOW šļø As they sharpened their showmanship and songcraft in the Maryland jam scene, LITZ ventured forth, opening for names like Papadosio and Lotus while adding Electric Forest, Resonance, and Peach to their festival accolades. The foursomeāAustin Litz (keyboards, saxophone, vocals), Logan Litz (bass), Dan Gallerman (guitar), and Nick Thrasher (Drums)--are constantly producing new tracks that defy categorization musically and metaphysically. Combining funky horn riffs, wah-wah keys, pounding bass, flute, and sensational guitar, they curate a sound that isnāt decisively funk, jam, go-go, or soul but irrefutably and exquisitely LITZ. On stage, LITZ are custodians of the audienceās dreams, fears, and hopes. Their mesmerizing synergy and improvisation inspire authentic connection, reminding us that music, more than a sound, is a feeling. No two LITZ experiences are identical. As they riff and take risks, LITZ rocks their audiencesā senses and souls, pulling listeners into new realms of emotion. Ecstatic introspection, laughs with friends, and dances shared with strangers are equally part of the LITZ odyssey.

Friday night 8/28 get ready to groove with our headliner LITZ featuring special guest guitarist Wes Hager of Fletcher's Grove!
LITZ is a 4 piece Funk-tronica act from Frederick, MD that is coming off hiatus to bring the Funky grooves to Friends of the Cheat Campground. Their guitarist Dan Gellerman can not make the event, so Wes Hager will fill in on lead for a special on-night-only performance! PLUS, on Saturday morning you can rise and shine with an Ecstatic Dance set from Austin Litz. The Litz frontman will be playing sax, flute, and more to start your day with a free from movement meditation dance party held in a sober environment. We are stoked to have LITZ groove with us!
