*New* burst necklaces!
These are all one of a kind and feature natural gemstones.
Sometimes you just need a bit of sparkle.
And sometimes, YOU are the sparkle. 🌟
Im excited to share this super special mother’s ring custom I just wrapped up!
This has been in the works for about a year and I’m so so thrilled how it turned out.
Handmade in my eco-studio using recycled sterling silver and flush set gemstones. 🌿

We’re almost to April and the relief of the returning sun is palpable.
My schedule of events is light in April and I’ll be adding some more new pieces to the site soon. I’m looking forward to a very busy May and getting back into the swing of in-person events! Hoping to see you soon.

Beautiful blue mountain jasper with hand cast natural elements in recycled sterling silver.
I’ve just wrapped up 3 back to back weekends of shows and am looking forward to a little respite this week and catching up on some customs. I’m be at Annmarie Sculpture Garden this Saturday and next weekend I’ll be at True Chesapeake as part of their Artisan Market with Greater Goods.
Today there is rain and warmth; we have our perennials peeking through and I feel relief as we move through to the early stages of the Spring season. We counted 14 different bird songs this morning while sitting on our steps relishing time together. Time is moving fast and slow at the same time, as it does.

New work-
I’ve made many new pieces over the last few weeks, prepping for the ACC show and a general restock… a few winged pieces, a few of these Biophilia-inspired works. Taking things one day at a time, adding new pieces here and there.
Upcoming shows are now listed on my events page and I hope to see you at one soon; I’m excited to be in a few new places for me this year including Wine in the Woods and Lakefest in Columbia.
Happy almost spring, friends.

Finished up a necklace I’ve been thinking about for months now.
I found some recycled glass beads in January that I loved. Shades of earthy green, just slightly translucent and glowy.
In November I began playing with sterling discs, hammering and layering them… using them for earrings and charms. They were so fun- and then I decided I wanted to try and make my own beads with them. I remembered these glass beads and knew I wanted them all to go together. I tinkered around for a bit and love how the beads came together and look in this piece.
In college, I had the best job- working in a bead store in Baltimore. I learned so much and got to work with some of the most amazing folks. Not to mention the awesome customers!! It felt very nostalgic stringing this piece after almost a decade of not beading. It feels good to return to the things we love that bring us joy. 💜

Today! So excited to be back Robinson Nature Center for their holiday market! I’ll be in a tent outside in the grass. 😊
As a reminder, Robinson Nature Center will have a reduced admission of $3 per person from 11:30am-3:30pm TOMORROW (Saturday) during our annual Mistletoe at Midday Makers Mart. Members still get in for free. Consider shopping small and supporting local artists this holiday season.
Our nature center gift shop will also be offering 10% off to everyone during the Makers Mart and 15% off to Robinson Nature Center members (consignment and art gallery pieces excluded). We can't wait to see you!

Current // Flow
Two new pieces inspired by the “flow” ring I finished last week. I’m working on some additional rings in this style to be released later this month. The gemstones are really speaking to me with these pieces; I love how they glow in contrast to the black + silver and create an interesting conversation all their own.

Happy Wednesday!
I’m wrapping up some new pieces for a small release this Friday. This new winged necklace is one of my favorite pieces to date, featuring a hardy piece of beautiful turquoise cut by .cabs and set in all recycled sterling silver.
I’m working on a similar smaller version as well as a few other winged pieces for upcoming markets and customs. It’s been lovely to make these and I’m thrilled they are resonating so much with folks.
Wishing you a lovely week,
Sarah, Bean + Bear
