One of our ministry partners Epiphany Arts & Culture Foundation / بنیاد فرهنگ و هنر اپیفانی recently published this blog post: A Theological and Moral Analysis of the Movie "Hacksaw Ridge"

“In the history of war, heroes have usually been defined by criteria such as military prowess, skill in battle, victory over the enemy, and sacrifice on the battlefield. But sometimes, individuals emerge who challenge this traditional definition and present a new image of bravery and heroism. Desmond Thomas Doss is one of them.

Doss’s story goes beyond a historical or military narrative. It raises profound questions about faith, conscience, obedience, violence, courage, and the true nature of heroism.”

Myth: Christianity is declining.

Reality: It’s growing in Iran faster in the past 20 years than the prior 1,400 years.

Across Iran, parents are grieving young lives lost in the violent crackdown that began in January. One of those mothers is Samira. In the depths of her grief, she encountered something unexpected—hope.

This is her story shared by our ministry partner Iran Alive Ministries

Samira didn’t know Jesus when her daughter was killed in the protests. She was a grieving mother—broken and searching for hope.

But God met her in her pain.

Through the love and support of believers, Samira came to faith. Today, her mourning has become her mission—bringing hope to other grieving parents. And she is not alone.

Across Iran, many are mourning loss while facing deep hardship. Hearts are open like never before. This is the moment to share the grace and mercy of God.

For nearly 50 years, there has been wave after wave of persecution against Iranians who decide to become Christians in Iran. Owning a Bible in Farsi is strictly prohibited, and sharing the Christian faith with others could result in up to 15 years in prison.

Despite this intense persecution, the Christian faith in Iran continues to grow at an amazing rate. Because faith in Jesus brings visible, life-changing transformation, it spreads quickly.

Many of our partners are supporting house-churches, equipping leaders of the underground movement, and sharing the Gospel in ways the Iranian government cannot stop. Will you join us in supporting our ministry partners through prayer?

Below is a story that one of our underground church leaders in Iran recently shared with us:

“My family is deeply devoted to Islam, and when they discovered my faith in Christ, they completely rejected me. Six months ago, my own uncle looked me in the eye and said ‘I will report you to the Islamic government for practicing Christianity in Iran.’

But something changed after the recent massacre. Just a few nights ago, that same uncle called me. His voice was different. The anger was gone. Instead he ask me quietly, ‘Can you tell me about your faith?’ Then he said something I never expected to hear: ‘Tell me more about Jesus…I want to know who He is.’”

Even in the midst of tragedy and oppression, God is moving in hearts in ways no one could have predicted.

We continue to pray for believers like this who have been rejected by their family. We continue to celebrate the way God moves in unexpected ways.

We are honored to share a powerful testimony from a young believer in Iran—where fear and uncertainty is real, but God’s faithfulness is even greater. For security, some portions are changed.

“Nearly 10 days ago we evacuated the city because of severe attacks that were imposed on us, some of my relatives' properties had devastated unfortunately, we were so desperate. But God rescued us again and again and He will continue doing it.

I've witnessed His goodness, grace and provision this morning once again and I wholeheartedly believe that I will see his goodness in the land of the livings once again. I was meditating on God's word today; that was saying some trust in their power and authorities but we trust in the name and power of our Lord.

Keep praying for us, for our safety, for our protection, for our friends and nation, for God's will, for the light of Glory to shine in our lives and those who haven't received Him yet. He has good plans, He has good plans for me, for us.

We've temporarily moved to another city. We are safe and totally fine ❤ Can't wait to hear from you once again.”

In the middle of uncertainty, we are praying and believing that God is moving. Will you join us?

“O Lord, you hear the desire of the afflicted; you will strengthen their heart; you will incline your ear to do justice to the fatherless and the oppressed.” – Psalm 10:17–18

Even in these turbulent times, we believe the Lord is at work.

After the recently confirmed death of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, long-awaited hope has sparked for countless Iranian families who have lived under fear, repression, and imprisonment. But uncertainty remains.

The ruling mullahs still wield power and have repeatedly shown they will silence voices of freedom. Since last week, the government has deliberately shut down satellite signals and restricted internet access in an effort to disconnect the people from one another and from the outside world. They do not want citizens to be influenced, informed, or encouraged by voices outside their control.

Hope is stirring — for courage, spiritual awakening, and the possibility of true freedom and the people of Iran need our support! Join us in prayer for these specific requests from one of our ministry partners, Iran Alive Ministries.
