Redefining Greatness: A Lesson from Jesus

In today's world, we're often taught that greatness comes from power, wealth, and recognition. But what if true greatness is about something much deeper?
Jesus reminds us in Matthew 20:25-26: “But whoever would be great among you must be your servant.”
This powerful message challenges us to rethink our approach to success. Instead of climbing over others, let’s focus on lifting them. Serving our communities, supporting our friends, and empowering those around us is where real greatness lies.

In my recent experience as an instructor in a grief support group, I was profoundly moved by the shared sentiment of "I just can't be alone." This phrase echoed throughout our conversations, emphasizing a universal struggle many face when dealing with loss. It’s a powerful reminder that, during times of grief, feelings of loneliness can become overwhelming.

As we gathered to share our stories, it became evident that each person's pain was uniquely their own, yet connected through a common understanding. The vulnerability shown in that space fostered a sense of community, reinforcing the idea that no one has to face this journey alone.

To those coping with grief, please know you are not alone. We are here for you, holding you in our thoughts and prayers. Grief is not a sign of weakness; it reflects the love we have for those we've lost. On this journey, let’s aim to uplift and support one another, building a network that respects our experiences and promotes healing. Together, we can navigate the complexities of grief, reminding ourselves that even in our darkest moments, we are surrounded by compassion and understanding.
