Introducing Sunny, my new UV drying booth. Trial run today. Still a little dialing in to do, but big enough for a LARGE bass or multiple smaller instruments.

It’s been a productive day here at GBW. Got my first set of the Responsive Bracing System done as developed by Matthew Tucker. I have 4 more sets to do... can’t wait to see how it sounds!

Now the dog leg chisel. Great for cleat removal. The “saltines” are now toast! I’m pretty sure those were basswood. (Pronounced like the fish...). Pro tip- the cleats should actually contour to the top. Well, a couple did.

And just like that- the monstrousity of a bass bar is gone. I love my Wheel Wright’s chisel set. Military issue circa WWI.

Dear Loyal GBW Customers and Followers,

I just finished listening to the SC Governor's press conference, and I feel that his reasoning is not sound. He is not following the federal guidelines for Phase One of re-opening the economy. Listening to Dr. Linda Bell (SCDHEC) I was struck by the seriousness of this decision. We are not ready. I have been out in public shopping for groceries and people were ignoring social distancing.

I completely disagree that the citizens of SC are following the social distancing orders and therefore, GBW will not be exposing ourselves or other customers to possible exposure. We care about you too much to put you in danger.

Rest assured that when the coast is clear- for real, we will be right here, ready to take on your projects or find you the instrument of your dreams!

Dear Loyal GBW Customers and Followers,

We have decided to close to the public today. March 21st, 2020 to keep ourselves and our customers safe during this unprecedented time. Brian may be in the shop working, but no new work will be accepted before April 15th.

We will revisit appointments and hours after April 15th. Please know that we are thinking of all of you, and hoping that we all stay healthy, and that we can resume our daily lives in the near future.
