Lets Saddle Up

We need your help. The cost for a Special Needs child to ride is $240 for six weeks. This nominal fee just barely covers the cost of instruction and the use of the horse. We have many people who contact us about lessons for their family member, but very few can put out that much money. Our Veterans ride at no cost to them. It was our belief in the beginning that our Veterans have given enough. We need sponsors for these veterans and horses to carry these larger riders.

Community support is an essential part of our program. We give back to the community by taking our “Tiny Trotters Therapy Horses” to local nursing home, schools, and day cares. These miniature horses have brought many smiles to children and adults when we are out in the community. Our Tiny Trotters and their handlers are now Qualified therapy teams, thru the American Miniature Therapy Horse Association. They are the first qualified teams in SC. Sharron is an evaluator for AMTHA for SC.

Our most exciting news is that Tiny Trotters has recently joined a group to teach bullying prevention in schools. “Just Say Whoa to Bullying” is an innovative program and the first of its kind to teach bullying prevention using animal- assisted activities with miniature horses.
