🚨 THIS IS NOT A DRILL. CLAY GOT SHOT AT TODAY. HE NEEDS A FOSTER AND RESCUE NOW. 🚨

This is likely my last attempt to find help for Clay before he ends up dead.

Today, someone shot at Clay for chasing his chickens. He missed.

Next time he may not.

As if that wasn’t enough, Clay was also found tied to someone’s female dog today, creating even more tension and frustration among neighbors. The reality is that Clay is an unneutered, neglected dog who has been left to roam and fend for himself. None of this is surprising, but it is putting his life at immediate risk.

Clay desperately needs a DFW foster and rescue NOW.

📍 Caddo Mills, TX (DFW)
🐾 Approximately 2 years old
🐾 Hound mix
🐾 Friendly with people, kids, and other dogs
🐾 Emaciated
🐾 Severe flea dermatitis/skin issues
🐾 Not neutered
🐾 Needs veterinary care

Clay’s owner leaves for extended periods and does not provide regular care. An elderly relative has been trying to feed him when she can, but she cannot continue doing this indefinitely and he’s not contained..

This dog is hungry. He’s itchy. He’s neglected. He’s roaming because nobody is taking care of him. He’s been failed by so many. The people I’m in contact with want him to be saved, but tensions are rising.

And now people are actively shooting at him.

If a foster and rescue are not found soon, Clay will NOT survive much longer where he is.

Meemaw is looking for a very special home. She needs a hospice home. 😟

Meemaw came into the shelter as a stray. She's quite old... guessing g upwards of atleast 12yrs old. Her body & soul are tired but still holding on! Shes rather skinny, although her appetite is picking up! She's a calm, quiet girl. Loves to nap on her bed, watch the birds in the yard & snuggle on the couch. She's ridiculously easy to please! Dog social but rarely interacts due to her energy level.

Due to her age, she needs a quiet home to finish out her last few years. We aren't sure what her past life was like but we assume it wasn't the greatest. Shes hoping to finish out her golden years with a loving family!

Would anyone be interested in offering their heart & home to this precious girl for her last remaining years? 🙏
