Ag Workers Board of Directors member Dr. Dwayne Pavelock recently presented the Outstanding Graduate Assistant in Leadership and Service award to Ella Barch of Sam Houston State University's SHSU Agricultural Sciences. Ella is from Pearland, Texas, and recently completed her Master of Science in Agriculture. She previously completed her Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Business with a minor in Animal Science.

82 years ago today, a combined Allied force of soldiers from the US, the UK, and Canada, along with support from 12 additional countries, stormed the beaches of Normandy, France, in the largest sea-based invasion in history. This invasion marked the beginning of Operation Overlord and the Allies' efforts to push East towards Germany.
