Rest Easy Joe “Sonny” Long. 1949-2026. A decorated veteran of the US Customs & Border Patrol & Drug Enforcement Agency - Sonny took care of his brothers, the Sheepdogs and Wayward Federales, namely his love for combat veterans and especially Marines. Was blessed to have known him and I will remember him often. 🇺🇸🫡

Had a wonderful time in Fort Worth for the Birthday Ball Celebration. 250 years looks good on y’all!

Of 250 years, I always felt like I got the best 11 years this gun club had to offer. 2006 Parris Island/Camp Geiger; 2006-2010 1st Bn 3rd Marines Charlie Guns (Haditha/Haq - Fallujah/Karma - Nawa/Marjah); 2011 Wounded Warrior Bn-West; 2011-2016 1st Recon & 1st Force Det (WestPac/OIR). 0351/0331/0916/0918/0321/0316/8002. I’m grateful for the Marines, the adventures, the good times and the bad - it was a hard life, you had to earn every moment. The aches and pains are often a reminder of the price of being violent. The brothers lost can haunt you and lift you up at the same time, they will always be with you. God Bless the world’s deadliest fighting force, here’s to the next 250 years of smiling when it sucks. Fortune Favors the Brave, Always Beside You, Semper Fidelis. Happy Birthday Marines.

Mike Koetting 1960-2025. Loved by all of us, will be missed terribly. I can count the good with the bad, the times I was inspired and the times I persisted on pure spite. However I count it, this man made me much of who I am. You did the best you could old man, I’m proud of my last name.

I do cherish an opportunity to touch the ocean. The coastline always makes me feel close to God. I miss living near the ocean, and I took it for granted when I did.
