Create + Collaborate
Creating opportunities for students after high school.
First in their families to graduate college.
Now they’re nurses, accountants, financial analysts, graduate students, and leaders.
What moves us most isn’t the job titles—it’s knowing the journey it took to get here. The courage to go first. The sacrifices. The uncertainty. The determination to build a future no one in their family had seen before.
When first-generation students have the right support and community, there’s no limit to what they can become.

“I wish someone had done this for me. Let’s do it for them.”💛
If you’re first gen you may remember feeling the weight of everything you didn’t have and everything you didn’t know.
That’s why the Create + Co Dorm Store exists.
When a student walks in and sees a free dorm store stocked just for them — it’s not just supplies. It’s a message:
You’re not in this alone.
Shop our IKEA registry or drop off donations and help us fill the shelves for this year’s students.

Create + Collaborate is proud to share that our Founder & CEO, Ricquel Archer, has been named a finalist for the 2026 D CEO Nonprofit & Corporate Citizenship Awards in the category of Leadership Excellence through D Magazine.
This recognition reflects more than an individual achievement. It is a reflection of the culture, mission, and values that continue to shape our organization and the students we serve every day.
At Create + Collaborate, two of our core values are simple:
Leadership is our legacy.
Excellence is our standard.
To be recognized in a category centered on leadership and excellence is meaningful because those values are deeply embedded in how we serve students, build partnerships, and show up for our community.
Since 2020, Create + Collaborate has worked to create opportunities for students transitioning into young adulthood through mentoring, leadership training, and life skills development. What began with supporting one first-generation college student has grown into a movement that has now furnished hundreds of dorm rooms, developed student leaders across Texas, and helped students persist through college and into their careers.
This recognition belongs to every student, volunteer, donor, mentor, partner, and supporter who has helped build this work alongside us.
We are honored to be part of a community that believes in investing in the next generation of leaders.
Congratulations to our Founder & CEO, Ricquel Archer, and to all of the incredible finalists being recognized for their impact across North Texas.

This one feels BIG!!
For the first time in Create + Collaborate’s history, we launched our very first Parent Cohort through our new Family Hub.
Over the next 12 weeks, parents are learning alongside their students. While students move through our Fit for the Future Leadership Program, families are engaging in a parallel cohort designed to make the college journey feel clearer, more supported, and less overwhelming.
This space focuses on building strong support systems, financial education, 1:1 guidance with college advisors, a walk through all the college terms and access to mental health and wellness resources.
36 families joined Cohort One, choosing to show up together. That number represents students no longer navigating college alone AND families feeling confident in how they support the journey.
We’ve always believed student success is family success. This is just the beginning of what the Family Hub will become, and we couldn’t be more proud of our families and students.
When we say we are building legacy this is what we mean.
2026 is the year of FAMILY!
