Getting ready to do the tropical diving thing with my lovely new bride (who is making great strides in refining her dive skill set) and had to look at previous pics to re-familiarize with salt water diving...The Great Lakes and Florida caves are salt-free so that will be a change.

This is a shot of my good friend Matt as we were diving open-circuit in Roatan. The wreck is the Aguila and its pretty slick. Would have been cooler on CCR and to explore the corridors but, we take what we can get and enjoy it regardless.

While looking at images of a Missouri trip, I thought I'd share some images of a little known gem called Mine LaMotte in Madison.

The mine started around 1717 and lead used during the Civil War came from this mine. It has a long history and is a patchwork of extensive tunnels. Every tunnel you explore has remnants of when the mine was a working mine. Some of the items you will see are ore carts, workers toolboxes, light bulbs, pumps, etc. Every turn you are greeted by something else.

While it is an amazing time capsule of a dive. If you decide to dive this location, you will need to bring quite a number of cookies and line arrows it is also very cold so dry gloves are also recommended.

The first shot is of the outside of the mine with the entrance towards the back left. The next couple shots are of Ray as we explore the numerous mine shafts. The next is one of my many 3-D cookies I made and never stopped making...and the last is the obligatory selfie shot no dive story is complete without.

Started the evening back out at the covered bridge north of my house to practice light painting one of my cars. Got the halo effect figured out with my drone, just had to dodge the tree, haven't hit a single tree in seven years of flying drones, didn't want to start last night.
I roll up and see a car at the corner of the lot. Initially I think it is abandoned and start setting up the tripod and the lights set up. I hear noises coming from the car and after realizing it was merely teenagers hot and heavy in the middle of date night, I went on with my business as they went on with theirs...regardless of how it turned out for them...there was a light show.

It was a cool evening with no wind, which was refreshing for a change. Since I was out driving around to clear my head I thought I would make a couple stops and work a bit more on the light painting.

This is taken with the downtown courthouse in the background. 3 GVM light tubes (which the skate boarders thought were light sabers) Mavic 2Air in POI mode doing a fairly fast rotation and Canon 5DMKIV with 24-70 lens. 20 shutter in Bulb mode.
