Let's talk about healthy habits. We all know that spending mass amounts of time on social media isn't one of them.

Recently, I decided to allot 15 minutes of social time a day across all my platforms and pages. The result has been great; spending less time on my device and more time enjoying the beauty of life and the things in front of me has been healthy and productive.

“Post it and ghost it”.

Job fulfillment is kind of a funny concept to some, but a very serious topic for those who have found it. Once you have found it, you crave it. Did you know the average person works over 90,000 hours in a lifetime? So, do you work somewhere and spend your days doing something less than fulfilling? Find your purpose in life, then find a role and career that supports that purpose. Workplace meaning is a very real thing; you just have to take the time to find it. For some, it takes years of trial and error, but if you seek, you will find.

Servant leadership is a commonly used title these days; however, I personally believe that a lot of people do not understand the true definition or meaning of it.

I once read that “servant leadership is going above and beyond for people in the hopes that your team will do the same for you.”

I think that’s a false definition of servant leadership. True servant leadership is doing the right thing for people and not expecting anything in return.

We have all heard the ‘Good Samaritan’ story. A man is beaten and left on the side of the road. A Levite and a priest separately walk past him and do not stop to help the beaten man. However, a Good Samaritan does.

He cleans his wounds, brings him into a shelter, and gives the housekeeper two silver coins to take care of him further. Then he vows to pay more if the beaten man requires more time. He does this out of love for his neighbor, whom he does not know.

Now that’s true servant leadership. Knowing the definition of leadership is one thing, but walking the walk is more important in my opinion.
