Soul Threading

Got in some memories of this little guy enjoying the day - it was his dad’s birthday & I got to hang with their family to share pizzas at the mission - per birthday request. It was a fulfilling experience plus ending it with smiles from this perfect face!

Sometimes there are dying flowers given out at work. I got lucky with these a week ago & found pretty light to take their portrait. With a lil love - these babies held on strong 🥹

Although Hallmark holidays can have its cons - I do love the intention of love that is accentuated & encouraged ❤️ in a healthy way of course.

Small hike of my own - up a little trail where I was stopped by ice - so I said no. Found a flat rock to sit on - warm from the setting sun & watched the art unfold with changing shades, shapes & color. In awe & reflection there was nothing to do but gaze at what I believe are called the book cliffs. It resembles books on a shelf based on some google research.

We come & go. One life. Will we be remembered thousands of years from now let alone 100 for the next generation? These canyons will be remembered as they evolve & exist as they always have. They will be remembered & it’s in my hope that the canyons, the mountains, the trees & all that Mother Nature is - will remember us too. That they were gazing at us too.

Grateful to have met & photographed this darling child last visit to Florida. It was a bit improvised, yet also a bit effortless & reminded me how long ive been working at this. To paint with light, find emotion & tell a story.

I’ve gained the favor of this family’s invaluable friendship. Since the start of an engagement session years ago, and now with 3 children - this family has been in front of my camera for so many moments.

Love this 10 frame set of my (now 5 year old) friend. We giggled & walked around their neighborhood, she just kept posing & effortlessly letting her hair blow in the wind. It was amazing.
