March is Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month đź’š

Cerebral palsy is the most common motor disability in childhood, yet it’s often misunderstood. It affects movement, muscle tone, and posture—but it doesn’t define a person’s intelligence, potential, or worth.

This month is about raising awareness, promoting inclusion, and celebrating the strength and resilience of individuals living with CP. It’s also a time to listen, learn, and support families and advocates who are working every day to build a more accessible world.

Let’s choose kindness, patience, and understanding—not just this month, but every day.

đź’š Wear green
đź’š Share knowledge
đź’š Support accessibility
đź’š Amplify voices that deserve to be heard
Together, we can create a more inclusive future.

🌍 Rare Disease Day – Because Every Rare Story Matters 💜

There are over 7,000 known rare diseases, many are genetic, chronic, progressive, and often life-threatening. The person with the rare condition and their families frequently face delayed diagnoses, limited treatment options, and barriers to care.

Awareness leads to action. Action leads to research. Research leads to hope.

Today, wear purple, share a story, learn about a condition, or support an organization working to make a difference. Because rare is strong. Rare is resilient. And rare deserves to be seen.

⚠️STATEWIDE EMERGENCY DECLARATION⚠️
A statewide Winter Weather Emergency has been declared for the State of Indiana starting January 24, 2026. This emergency is in response to dangerously low temperatures, snow accumulation and ice formation expected throughout the next couple of days. Please stay safe and warm.

In addition to the federal emergency response declaration, I have signed an executive order declaring a state of emergency in Indiana and directing the Indiana Department of Homeland Security to coordinate all of the state’s emergency response efforts, as well as ordering all executive branch agencies to provide any and all assistance and resources requested by IDHS.
