Meet Moose, our lovable Miniature Pinscher with no eyes! 🧡

When Moose came into our care, he was blind. His eyes were swollen and it was evident that this sweet guy was in a lot of pain.

He was immediately evaluated by our vet team and his symptoms were consistent with glaucoma - which can be extremely painful.

Our veterinary team decided it would be best for Moose to undergo an enucleation procedure to remove both of his eyes and improve his overall quality of life.

Shout out to our own Dr. Kim for completing the surgery! The procedure went well and little Moose has been on the road to recovery.

Since then, Moose has been feeling so much better! Before his surgery, he would just lay around. Now, he jumps into laps and loves being held! We can tell he is so much happier. 🥹

As you can see, Moose will still need time to heal, but we'd love for him to continue recovering in a home rather than at our busy shelter. Moose will be foster-to-adopt until he gets his final vet check from our team!

Not having eyes hasn't stopped Moose from loving on our staff one bit! He is 6 years old, weighs about 17 lbs, and should meet all dogs and humans in the home.

🍎 Check out Apple's transformation! 🍎

4-year-old Apple was one of the Mini Poodle mixes who came to us after being released from a commercial breeder in Ohio. Since arriving, she's had quite the glow-up! She's been bathed, fully shaved, received veterinary care and recently got spayed!

Now she's looking for her forever home where she can be the apple of you eye. 🩷

And Apple isn't the only one! We have a bunch of other apple-solutely sweet pets waiting to be picked! 🍏

It's Happy Tails Tuesday and after 91 days in our shelter, Chico finally found his forever home! We're happy to share he is doing GREAT! 🎉

According to John (Chico's adopter), Chico is "just the perfect amount of goofball." He's been working hard on his training and is proving to be a quick learner. He even spent some time at the campground, where he met lots of new human friends and a few dog friends too!

Chico has really settled into his new life and new job as John's sidekick! He has officially claimed the shop couch as his own, and when John is working under vehicles, Chico likes to lay underneath with him — because apparently every mechanic needs a four-legged assistant. 🔧🐾

We couldn't be happier to see this sweet goofball living his best life! Thank you for choosing to adopt and giving Chico the best forever home. 🩵

97 cats altered in ONE day! 😸

71 community cats and 26 indoor cats were spayed/neutered on Saturday at our last Caturday Spay/Neuter Blitz! ✨

Spay/neuter is one of the most effective ways to reduce pet overpopulation, especially when it comes to outdoor cats. That's why our surgical team is specially trained in high-volume, high-quality surgery in order make a real difference in our community.
