Thrilled to unveil the two new plaques installed on the MLK Bridge this afternoon. The new plaques send a strong message of our commitment to ensure Dr. King’s legacy is remembered and that we think of him often.

Delighted to welcome students from our Sister City of Takaoka, Japan to Fort Wayne. We had a terrific discussion about their visit and enjoyed discovering common interests between our two cities.

I'm saddened by the passing of my good friend Jerry Vandeveer.

Jerry was an unsung hero in our community. He loved Fort Wayne, particularly our public safety divisions. Jerry dedicated his life to helping others. I always admired Jerry’s positive attitude, work ethic, and humility. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with Jerry’s family and friends.

Michael brings decades of valuable leadership experience to our community and has a committed passion for helping people. I’m confident he will take Fort Wayne UNITED to the next level.
