Participants who return to INVISIBLE INK wish they would do more writing on their own, but admit that they don't. They know what they can expect from the program, which provides writing prompts to help them express their grief as well as their love.

Registration for the final INVISIBLE INK series in 2026 is next Friday, Sept. 25th.

When grief came, it knocked me down hard. And then it taught me to see with new eyes and to believe in my own truth about the ongoing nature of the human spirit.

Out of those lessons came my book, "INVISIBLE INK: Reaching Out To Loved Ones In Spirit," and writing programs that teach others the tools that helped me heal.

I’ll be leading two of those programs this fall to help those who may still be struggling with a loss. Then in January 2027, I'll be offering a brand new program for grief that requires prior participation in one of the previous two.

Here's a description of each of them, which will be offered through The Peggy F. Murphy Community Grief Center:

INVISIBLE INK™: Through letters you write to and from the spirit of your loved one, you find the words to express your grief and learn how to stay as connected to them as you need.

HEALING HAIKU™: Through simple 3-line poems, you learn to create a very loving kind of beauty from the memories you hold of your loved one.

THE STORY OF MY GRIEF™: Through the use of professional storytelling techniques, you learn to tell your story of grief in such a way that it leaves you deeply moved by the strength and humanity this journey has demanded of you.

This online version of INVISIBLE INK™ features everything the in-person program does, with an added benefit: your tears can flow in private as you write your letters because all writing is done off-camera. Tears are one of the body's healing mechanisms, so it's important to let them flow right when they need to.

Plus, you'll be in the privacy of your own home at the same time you'll be surrounded by people who understand your journey because they're on it, too.
