We were grateful to spend the past two days at the ASH Centre hosting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Fort Wayne as part of the Badges for Baseball program.

Through the game of baseball, young people, WBA interns and staff and law enforcement mentors came together to build relationships, learn valuable life lessons, and create positive connections. Thank you to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Fort Wayne, the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation, and everyone involved for allowing WBA to be a small part of such a meaningful program.

Yesterday, we were grateful to welcome John Garner and Wade Smith from 3Rivers Federal Credit Union for another edition of Leadership Talks at the WBA.

They shared valuable insight on the importance of budgeting, financial wellness, and being intentional with your money. One message that stood out: “Every dollar you earn has a job.” Saving wisely, spending with purpose, and regularly checking in on your financial health are habits that can make a lasting impact.

Thank you, John and Wade, for investing in our students and staff and sharing your knowledge and experience.

Leadership Talks at the WBA with Mike Nutter.

Last week, Mike challenged us to get involved, get ingrained in our community, and intentionally give back while building meaningful relationships along the way. We are grateful for the insight, wisdom, and leadership experience Mike shared with us, and for the impact his message will continue to have on our coaches and staff.

Thank you, Mike, for investing in our students and staff and reminding us that leadership extends far beyond the game.
