A huge thank you to Cady Atkinson, center, from Three Rivers Ambulance Authority for attending our Breaking Bread Night and speaking with our youth. She shared the difficult realities EMS professionals face when responding to scenes of gun violence — especially when victims are severely injured or lose their lives before help can arrive.

Cady explained that many of these tragedies begin with small conflicts or arguments that could have been resolved peacefully. She encouraged our youth to walk away from situations that could escalate, find activities and passions that bring them joy, and consider careers in the emergency medical field.

Her heart for helping others was evident throughout the conversation. While she loves serving her community and saving lives, she also shared that she hopes for a day when fewer families and first responders have to experience the pain of gun violence. We are grateful for her honesty, compassion, and commitment to our young people. ❤️

As we wrap up EMS Week 2026, we wanted to take a moment to share some of the special moments from this past week and celebrate the amazing people who make our organization what it is.

This week, we proudly rolled out our ROSC and Baby Delivery Wall and had our employees stand beside their very own accomplishments. Bringing someone back to life after cardiac arrest and seeing them leave the hospital neurologically intact is nothing short of extraordinary. Delivering a healthy baby safely into this world is equally as incredible. These are no small feats, and we are beyond proud to recognize and celebrate these moments with our employees.

We also want to extend a huge thank you to Lutheran Downtown and Dupont Hospital for coming out bright and early to provide breakfast for our crews this week — your support means so much to us!

Thank you to Walmart for the generous gift card donations for our first responders, as well as the amazing cake! We are incredibly grateful for your continued support of our organization.

We were invited to be part of a career signing day for one of our future EMT’s. We were also touched by the sweetest cards from a local school, thankful to a local Girl Scout troop for donating boxes of Girl Scout cookies, and to AT&T for bringing lunch in for us.

A special thank you goes to our very own directors, who came in at 3 AM multiple days this week to cook breakfast for our employees. Your dedication and appreciation for our staff does not go unnoticed.

We wrapped up the week with our annual family picnic filled with food, friends, family, prizes, and great memories. Our Medical Director, Dr. Scott, also presented us with an incredibly thoughtful gift, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the village that surrounds and supports us every day. We are proud to work alongside you.

To all of our sponsors, supporters, community partners, and everyone who helped make this week special — thank you. We couldn’t do this without you, and we are forever grateful for your continued support.

Another EMS Week in the books — and what a wonderful one it was! ❤️
