St. Michael LCMS

It has been one week since our Ground Breaking Celebration and construction crews have been hard at work!

Walls are coming down in the library and Luther Hall to make room for new preschool space. The grassy areas between the parking lot and the sidewalk have been torn out to make room for the parking lot expansion.

The most important change in terms of building use is the Office has been moved to the room next to the Vestry and door 4 will now be used as the main point on entry during the week. The main Church doors will be open for Weekend Worship.

It is an exciting time at St. Michael. We continue to pray for the safety of the workers and that the project goes as smoothly as possible.

The Ground Breaking was a wonderful celebration!

Jeremiah 29:5-7
“Build houses and settle down; plant gardens and eat what they produce. Marry and have sons and daughters; find wives for your sons and give your daughters in marriage, so that they too may have sons and daughters. Increase in number there; do not decrease. Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.”

June invites us to notice what God is quietly doing all around us as dormant trees and flowers begin to flourish. It’s a gentle reminder that growth doesn’t happen by accident; it happens because something has been faithfully rooted and sustained over
time.

In the same way, God has intentionally planted
each of us in our homes, workplaces, and
community. In Jeremiah 29:5–7, God instructs His
people to plant gardens and seek the peace of the
city, even when they weren't in ideal circumstances.
His instruction was clear: live faithfully right where
you are.
