Finally made the pilgrimage out to to demo out some snares and tour the studios. Settled on this 6.5x14 Alpha Aluminum. Super fat but also has a great crack. Super sensitive and the rim click is full and clean. Already sounds like a record. Thank you for your time and gracious hospitality!

Build daily habits. Each practice session for me starts with page 5 of Stone Stick Control. style playing each section for 1 minute. 24 minutes. Hands are nice and loose, tempo is centered.

Experimenting with the 20" bass drum.It's been a while since I played on a 20" but love the feel and punch. Still plenty of low end but feels a bit easier to play. Any other drummers out there switching to 20s?
