February 3, 2026 (Tues.) 6:00 p.m. Chocolate Candy Making

Let’s make some chocolate candy to give as a Valentine’s gift or maybe to just eat ourselves. Presented by Old World Fudge of Columbia City. Cost is $15.00 due at registration so be sure to register by January 30th (Friday) by calling the Extension Office at 260-481-6826. Send your check made out to ACEH to Allen County Extension Office at 4001 Crescent Avenue, Fort Wayne 46815 where the class is being held.

Sour Dough Tuesday, January 20,, 2026 1:00p.m.

Come and learn why we are hearing so much about sour dough bread. Is it good for weight loss? Is it good for your belly? Is it a probiotic? How can you get a start? You might even get a taste at this lesson which will be taught by Pat Smith.

December 9, 2025 (Tuesday) 1:00 p.m. Card Making

You don’t have to be a crafty person to join us in the fun of making cards for someone special. Presented by Pam Bryan who will teach us how to complete three beautiful cards. The cost will be $10.00 to make these cards. Please call the Extension Office at 260-481-6826 for reservations and/or information. Reservations and fee must be in 5 business days before the lesson. This class will be held at the Allen County Extension Office, 4001 Crescent Ave., Ft. Wayne, IN.

November 15, 2025 (Saturday) 1:00 p.m. Holiday Centerpiece

Come and make a beautiful Holiday Centerpiece. This lesson will be held at Young’s Greenhouse& Flower Shop, 5867 Lake Ave. in Ft. Wayne. The cost is $25.00 which can be paid day of class but you must register November 12th. Please call the Extension Office at 260-481-6826 for reservations and/or information.

Saturday is “Make a Difference Day.” This day is celebrated nationally on the 4th Saturday of October.

Here’s a few simple things we can do to make a difference:
• Call someone you haven’t talked to in a while
• If you’re out shopping, smile to that person walking by you
• Express thank you to a police officer or military veteran.

Thanks to all our Homemakers who have done things this week to "Make a Difference" and especially all the donations for our chosen charity "The Baby Closet."
