I have been really slacking with the picture taking lately, letting a lot of stuff leave without pictures. A lot of you have reached out wanting videos, but thats a whole other art form and time commitment. Maybe I will do a time lapse of an overhaul this summer.

Any Maybach Zeppelin experts out there? This Bosch FH12 was marked as such with the year 1933-1934. All the DS7/DS8 Zeppelin pictures I can find show distributors or two 6 cylinder magnetos. I know the Bugatti guys go crazy over FH8's but have never seen an FH12 before.

They must have overhauled a lot of SF4 magnetos at Kelly AFB after WWII, because I run into these decals on SF4s fairly often. Someone a while back during a phone call asked if I could save their decals during overhaul, which I said I could not as they are usually brittle and shatter. I can't remember who that was I talked to about that but this one today while breaking down one of my cores popped off completely intact. If whoever asked me about that sends me a message I will send it you, just cant remember who you were.

Bendix S6LN-32, an interesting magneto used on several versions of a Continental V12 engine used in various tanks and light artillery. 6 pole magnet, 6 sparks per revolution, no distributor gears or bearings (because it all rides on the end of the rotating magnet) make for a compact and simple setup. 4 of these mags on each engine.
