Christian Burnout: What Jesus Says to the People Who Hold Everyone Else Together — Dr. David Lombard | Christian Counseling & Forensic Evaluations 06/23/2026

Do you feel burnt out, overwhelmed, and like all the pressure is on you? Maybe my article on Christian Burnout is for you.

Christian Burnout: What Jesus Says to the People Who Hold Everyone Else Together — Dr. David Lombard | Christian Counseling & Forensic Evaluations It's 9:47 PM. You're sitting in your car in the driveway, engine off, keys still in your hand. The porch light is on — that warm yellow glow spilling onto the front steps. Somewhere inside, dishes are still in the sink. A kid's backpack is dumped by the door. Your phone has four texts you haven't ...

Do you want to know a secret? For a long time, I thought I had to keep my clinical psychology and my faith in two separate boxes. I thought I was being wise by keeping them apart, but I was missing the bounty that comes when they work together.

I’ve realized that true restoration happens at the intersection of professional care and biblical truth. That’s why I’m so excited to share our new banner for the Holy Psych Community on Skool.

This isn’t just another group; it’s a safe harbor where we dive into mental health support, biblical wisdom, and healing in Jesus. Whether you are walking through a season of anxiety or just looking for a community that values both your heart and your mind, you are welcome here.

I’d love for you to see what we’re building. It’s a place for education, support, and finding that daily joy that comes from walking with the Lord.

You can find us and join the conversation at skool.com/holypsych. Let’s start this journey of healing together.

After the resurrection, Jesus met the disciples on the beach. He didn't start with a lecture; He started with breakfast. He cared for their physical hunger and exhaustion first. If you’re feeling overwhelmed by parenting anxiety, maybe you just need to "eat and rest" like Elijah or the disciples. Your physical needs matter to God too.

Practical Tip: Prioritize one physical need tonight: whether it's an extra hour of sleep or a healthy meal.

The empty tomb shows me no worry is too heavy for Him. Resurrection hope turns parenting anxiety into peace. 🌱 Join our Holy Psych community for faith-based support: coming soon! ($39/mo, not therapy).

Lost your cool with the kids today? 🛑

We’ve all been there. Peter denied Jesus three times, yet Jesus met him with breakfast and restoration, not a lecture.

If you feel like you failed today, remember that grace is waiting for you tomorrow morning. Don't let guilt steal your joy. Your kids don't need a perfect parent; they need a parent who knows how to receive and give grace.

You weren't meant to do this alone. Period. 🤝

Parenting anxiety grows in isolation. But look at the first Easter: the disciples found strength and joy when they came together. We need a community that reminds us of the truth when we’re too tired to remember it ourselves. Who is in your corner?

✨ Practical Tip: Send a quick text to one parent friend today just to say, "I’m glad we’re in this together."

We often feel like we have to project perfect faith for our kids, but even Thomas had his doubts after the resurrection. Parenting can bring up so many "what ifs" and "how comes." God isn't intimidated by your questions or your anxiety. He invites you to bring them to Him, just as Thomas did. Faith isn't the absence of doubt; it's trust in the middle of it.

Practical Tip: Journal one parenting "doubt" or "what if" today and consciously leave it in God's hands.
