One of my favorites… bachelor’s buttons for our edible flower boxes.

Our mixed boxes of edible flowers often include marigolds, some varieties of which are quite large.
You wouldn’t want to bite into one of these, but the petals make a beautiful addition to a salad, or garnish for an elevated presentation.

Pulling the petals out often leaves the marigold seeds attached, so it’s best to cut them off the base of the flower, leaving the seeds behind and creating the perfect garnish.

Micro-Shiso is a unique flavor note of anise, cinnamon, and basil… it compliments both sweet and savory dishes.
Most of our chefs choose the mix of purple and green varieties, but they can be requested separately.
It does take longer to grow to harvest size, so advanced notice is needed, since our farm is grown to order.

These are an important part of our mixed edible flower boxes, as they provide beautiful, sunny color, and so many petals to pull apart and sprinkle around a salad or plating.
