Today's flag is the MLM Flag! No, not multi level marketing. Men Loving Men!!

It wasn't until the 2010s when the male identifying g**s started to get their own flags outside of the rainbow flag. The 7 stripe version is known as, "Ocean Stripe Flag," and this is based on the simplified 5 stripe version.

Happy Sunday!! For today's flag we have the Sunset Le***an Flag 🥰

Le***ans are women attracted to other women or some nonbinary folks. Others may call themselves, "Sapphic" which is more of an umbrella term for women or nonbinary folks who are attracted to other women and some nonbinary. There's word, "sapphic," comes from an ancient Greek poet named Sappho. She lived on the island of Le**os in the year 600 BCE and was known for her writing and love of other women.

There's a reason why Le***ans are mentioned first in LGBTQIA+ and for that knowledge, we look back to the 1980s. During the start of the aids epidemic, most doctors refused to treat another person with aids for fear of catching it. The le***an community stepped up and stepped in to the medical profession to help take care of those where we're affected by aids.

For today's flag, we have the Trans Flag 🥳🏳️‍⚧️

Little bit of Pride history for you. It's known that Pride started as a riot, but not everyone knows who started it. Her name was Marsha P. Johnson and the P. stands for "Pay it no mind." She was a Trans woman of color who started a riot at Stonewall on June 28, 1969 🫡🏳️‍🌈

Trans is an umbrella term simply for anyone who identifies differently than their assigned gender at birth. This also included nonbinary (they/thems like me) folks. For example, gender fluid folks, demi boys and girls, and androgynous to name a few. On the other hand, "Cis" means you're not any kind trans.

I am horrible with photo hoarding. So many pretty pictures that aren't print worthy but I still love for one reason or another. This collection is making it possible to share some of those 🥰

As of right now, I have 9 flags in total made up. Bi babes, y'all get 2 prints because I loved how a pastel one looked and the standard flag colors are a whole vibe of their own.

✨️LIFE✨️UPDATE✨️

A lot has gone on since the start of the year. I was feeling burnt out at my home health job. The universe said, "ok, bet," and i was let go from that job at the end of January which was kinda sucky timing but 🤷🏼

February I applied to 30-35 jobs, had 3 interviews and no follow up calls. Got a phone call to set up an ✨️IMPORTANT✨️ health thing. Turned 31 this year.

March 5th (less than a week after my birthday) I went in for an outpatient surgery to have my uterus amputated! I've been dealing with weird cells the last couple years and it was safest to have a hysterectomy to keep things from progressing. I used this month to heal up and apply to a few more jobs later in the month.

April 7th I applied to job number 50. It lead to a phone interview, in person interview, and last week Friday I had a test shoot with Sweetwater.
I got the call yesterday for a job offer with their product photography department 🥹 I start in a couple weeks. And with it being part time during the week, that leaves afternoons and weekends to put into my nature photography for creative photos.

Forever thankful to my wife for being so supportive during my healing journey while in a rough patch 💜 Telling me to sit down and relax when all I wanted was to get back to normal, but also reminding me that baby steps are still progress. For making me smile and not feel like a burden cause sometimes even going down the stairs for food was hard. For encouraging me to apply for this new job and following my love of photography 💜

Feels like life is about to get better from here 😊

With not doing any more vendor markets this season, I figured why not do a sale thread. I'll drop items in the comments with what size prints and mats they are.

For the framed photos, I'll let you make me an offer because they aren't a normal piece of inventory. They're left over from my show at Firefly this past July.

As for shipping: if you live in/around Fort Wayne, I'd be happy to meet up with you somewhere. If you live outside of town, shipping is $5 for prints, and $10 for the framed photos (they take more than just a padded envelope).
