Not all masks are created equal. Because the Omicron variant is so contagious, you can still contract Covid even if you’re fully vaccinated and boosted. That’s why it’s so important you use the most effective mask you can when indoors and outside your household during the current surge.
Most people aren’t aware of the differences in protection level of the masking options available to us. If you’re still using cloth masks, you need to level up as soon as you can. You can find N95 or KN95 masks at ProjectN95.org or home improvement stores like Lowe’s and Home Depot.
Once you’ve upgraded your masks, make sure your family and friends are aware of the dangers of continuing to rely on cloth masks, too.
It’s worth bringing it up.

Why are we urging you to get your booster shot, and to reach out to family and friends about doing the same?
Because it can double your protection against Omicron infection, and if you do get infected, it helps protect those around you by likely lowering your viral load, and decreasing the chances of severe illness.
It's worth bringing up the booster.

With Omicron surging, it’s vitally important that every fully vaccinated person has also been boosted.
You can easily schedule your booster at vaccines.gov – or check with your nearest pharmacy about walk-ins – and then reach out to a vaccinated friend to make sure they're boosted as well.

Today we launched a new “Bring up the booster” campaign to urge people to get their booster and reach out to their vaccinated friends to make sure they get boosted, too.
At a press conference outside the Northeast Indiana chapter of the American Red Cross, director Nathan Gotsch was joined by advisory board members Dr. Olivia Lusher, Dr. Kathryn Marwitz, and Wayne Township Trustee Austin Knox.
If you’ve been putting it off, go get your booster as soon as possible, and urge your family and friends to do so as well.
It's worth bringing it up.
