The journey of running for public office is something I never dreamed I do. The perception and criticism
of elected officials… and the process to win? Why would anyone, sane, put themselves through it?

I learned it was just an illusion.

Meeting thousands of families at their doorsteps. Learning from and sharing with our passions for our community. Spending time with families and their children. Helping a neighbor… it was beautiful. Praying with people I’ve never met at their doorstep or in their driveway… priceless. Talking to a young mother about how to start a business - going over a pro forma and a business plan… educating someone on owning a stock… I loved it. Yes, call me crazy (I’m definitely not sane), but I loved.

Our community is beautiful and there’s so much opportunity… especially on the south east side. This part of my journey just motivated me even more to continue to serve. Because service is what gives me life.

To those who volunteered for our campaign, donated and just believed in a kid from Delaware County who was raised by a beautiful single mother - from the bottom of my heart, thank you!

Today is Election Day and the polls are open from 6AM-6PM!

Over the last 9 months we have talked to thousands of voters. Championing our community’s South East Side and the opportunities we have in Fort Wayne to be a part of something special.

While meeting with families we discussed ways to curb inflation around economic opportunity, the importance and need of entrepreneurship and small business creation, finding ways to keep more of your hard earn money in your pockets, education and providing our teachers with the right tools to help our children be successful in the future - focusing on STEM, financial literacy and the trades, safety in our communities, quality produce - yes, we need a healthy grocery store, in the SE community, to address our food deserts and most importantly building a community and relationships - starting with the home.

We’ve got a lot of by-in and I’m extremely thankful for every conversation, volunteer and vote.

The work is not done. It’s only begun.

The support has been amazing! Over 10,000 doors knocked on and plenty of these big signs put up by Indiana State Representatives Chris Judy and Bob Morris.

Meeting families in our community and learning about their passions and values have been truly inspiring.

Congressman Banks, thank you, and your team, for taking the time out of your schedule to walk with me and meet families in our community.

We have knocked on over 10,000 doors in our community in hopes to earn the right to represent the families in our community in our state’s legislature.

I enjoyed sharing what concerns folks are most passionate about: someone who is community driven, their pocket books, safety and the negative impacts of economic pressures on their ability to buy things such as groceries and gas… and most importantly - opportunity and development on the South east side of our community - that families are hungry for things such as a grocery store with healthy produce and for someone to champion the possibilities in a portion of our community that many feel have been overlooked for too long.

It was nice to get out and meet with some old friends in what will be the new 82nd district! Davyd Jones will be a fantastic Representative for the heart of Fort Wayne and I am proud to support him!

Today, we pause and reflect on a moment that has rippled throughout time. A moment that we will never forget!
