May 15 was Global Accessibility Awareness Day!

It marked the 14th Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD). The purpose of GAAD is to get everyone talking, thinking and learning about digital access/inclusion and people with different disabilities.

A shout out to HNHS teacher, Mrs. Ti**le and her two paras, Mrs. Williamson & Miss Bingham & along with the students in their class that created Essentials Coffee. These students put out an order request for either coffee, latte, hot chocolate and a summer drink. Once orders are in, on Thursdays this group makes the drinks and special deliver the orders!! It's just a bright spot in everyone's day to see these students walking by to deliver the drinks!!

National ALS Awareness Month is observed annually in May. This month is dedicated to raising awareness about amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig's disease.

ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects the motor neurons, leading to muscle weakness and paralysis.

ABLE Friends’ Club is for families with a child(ren) with special needs. Friends’ Club has been “Exploring God’s Creation” through games, crafts, storytime, and food! This month’s theme is Treasure Hunt as we explore the beach! 🏖🌊
