Well, the old 788 had some issues,, but a little weld build up, and milling, and it's back to diving tacks...
Nothing like a .222rem...

Also started this Re*****on 788,chambered in the iconic..222REM...I got a feeling it's gonna be a tack driver...
Future plans, include,a trigger job,a period correct scope..(weaver K6 or K8 fixed power) glass bedding the stock,after refinishing to a hand rubbed oil finish...

Had to make most of there parts, including the hammers...due to they don't make them anymore...

I have another firearm on the bench that has been previously serviced by multiple gunsmiths, but unfortunately, the necessary parts are unavailable, so I will be making the required components to get it back in action.... I'll be posting the finished project, along with a video..... in the next few days.

From useless to back in service.. in 24 hours...
Discontinued gun, so no parts available...
Trigger bar was broken, and all pins and springs were missing.... it definitely helps to understand guns....

Got a few in the bench this afternoon....a 1911 Springfield American classic 2, and a officers model.....mossberg 30-30...
