✨ OVERCOMER Worship Night – Summer Refresh ✨
Next Monday night is going to be a special one!
As we step into a new season, we want to create space to simply sit at the feet of Jesus and allow Him to do what only He can do. Bring your journal, bring your Bible, and come ready to receive whatever the Lord has for you.
So often we’re pouring out into others, serving, leading, encouraging, and carrying responsibilities—but how many know that even leaders need to be refilled? Even those who pour out need time in His presence to be refreshed, renewed, and strengthened.
We will still have our regular table talk, but immediately following we will move into a time of worship and ministry. No agenda. No rush. Just room for the Holy Spirit to move.
📖 “He refreshes my soul.” — Psalm 23:3
Come expecting.
Come hungry.
Come ready for a touch from the Lord.
We believe this will be a night of refreshing, refilling, healing, and encountering His presence.

What a powerful night at Overcomer! ❤️
We were honored to welcome so many friends from Celebrate Recovery in Baxley who joined us for an evening that was truly special.
Last night, Garrett Kinard shared his incredible testimony of God’s redeeming power and faithfulness. His story was a beautiful reminder that no one is beyond the reach of God’s grace and that He is still in the business of restoring lives.
One of the most touching moments of the night came when Garrett had the opportunity to present his sister, Miriam, with her 7-Year Recovery Chip. What a testimony to God’s sustaining power and the faithfulness of a Savior who continues to carry us one day at a time.
Moments like these remind us why we gather each week. We get to witness lives being transformed, chains being broken, families being restored, and hope being renewed.
God is doing amazing things through this ministry, and we are so grateful to have a front-row seat to His work.
“Let the redeemed of the Lord tell their story…” Psalm 107:2

Tonight at Overcomer, Farris brought a powerful word about false expectations and how unspoken expectations can quietly plant seeds of offense in our hearts.
“Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.”
Proverbs 19:21
So much conflict is not born from hatred… but from expectations that were never communicated.
We place expectations on people, churches, leaders, friendships, family, and even God. Then when reality does not line up with the picture we created in our minds, offense tries to move in like smoke filling a room.
Broken people often struggle deeply in relationships because wounds distort perception. A wrong perception can create an unnecessary battle where healing and communication were actually needed.
One of the strongest reminders from tonight:
✨ Communication fixes what false expectations can destroy.
✨ Clarity protects connection.
✨ Healing changes perception.
Sometimes we are not fighting the person in front of us. We are fighting the story we told ourselves about what should have happened.
Tonight was a reminder to release unrealistic expectations, communicate honestly, and trust that God’s plan prevails even when life does not unfold the way we imagined.
Overcomer is not a place for perfect people. It is a place where healing hearts learn how to walk in truth together. 🕊️

🌟 OVERCOMER KIDS VOLUNTEERS NEEDED 🌟
At OVERCOMER, we believe no one should ever miss the opportunity to encounter Jesus because they don’t have childcare. So many parents and families battling addiction, strongholds, brokenness, and hopelessness are searching for freedom — and we never want their children to be the reason they feel they can’t come through the doors.
When you serve in the kids area, you are doing so much more than “babysitting.” You are sowing into the very foundation of what Jesus looks like to these children. For some of them, Monday nights may be the ONLY time they hear about Jesus, feel His love, experience kindness, or are prayed over. That matters more than words can describe. ❤️
We especially need help on the FIRST MONDAY OF EVERY MONTH during Testimony Night, as those are some of our biggest crowds. Even if you can only serve once a month, your “yes” could help change a life forever.
Please pray and ask God if this is something He would have you be a part of. Your time, your love, and your willingness to serve could make an eternal impact on both the children and the parents fighting for freedom.
“Let the little children come to me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” — Matthew 19:14

✨ Prayer is not passive.
It is power.
It is perspective.
It is partnership with God. ✨
Tonight at Overcomer, we talked about how prayer does more than change circumstances… it changes us.
Before God changes the situation around you, He often begins transforming the heart within you. Prayer recalibrates perspective. Problems may not disappear overnight, but somehow they begin to look smaller because your view of God becomes bigger. 🌿
We talked about different kinds of prayer:
• Petition
• Intercession
• Declaration
• Warfare
• Thanksgiving & Worship
And one thing became so clear:
Prayer is not meant to be a backup plan. It is meant to be a lifestyle. 🔥
There are moments when we do not even know what to pray, yet the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. There is power in persistence. Power in stillness. Power in worship. Power in praying with others.
James 5:16 reminds us:
“The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous person avails much.”
