Proud Gang: At the ceremonial opening of the US Marshals Museum there was a familiar gang who've been conspiring since the beginning - former U.S. Marshal Dick O'Connell and Claude Legris, former director of the Fort Smith Convention & Visitors Bureau; Tracy Winchell, then communications director for the City and Kathy Watson of U.S. Sen. John Boozman's office. Also Judge Jim Spears; former assistant city administrator Dean Kruithof and a few other "usual suspects." I wore this badge in memory of Linda Seubold, also museum supporter emeritus. Get in that door July 1 to see the spectacular museum they helped to dream into existence!

Stand up. Put your hand on your heart. Push play with the other hand and you DANCE to this song to salute Tina Turner. Or you know, try. You can't dance like her. You can't sing like her. You can only pay your proper respect. She was on this earth from 1939-2023 but she will be immortal through the music she left us.

Ike & Tina Turner - River Deep Mountain High (original 1966 promo, edited) Tina's highly charged perfomance of this song is arguably Phil Spector's greatest production.
