CCL Fort Smith Chapter
Fort Smith, AR residents exercising their personal and political power, and working to enact legislation that preserves a livable world.
Our next Citizens’ Climate Lobby meeting is happening this Monday, March 2nd at 6:00 PM. If you’ve been looking for a way to get involved in local climate action (or just want to hang out with some great people), we’d love to see you there!
We’re meeting in the Skinner Building at Saint John’s Episcopal Church.
It’s a potluck style meeting, so feel free to bring a dish to share. We’ll be eating, catching up, and diving into this month's agenda.

It is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our dear friend in climate justice, Stephen Abdulhaqq. We knew Stephen to be honest, caring, and full of wisdom. He was an active member of the community in Fort Smith, AR in his final years, helping the elderly in his neighborhood get to doctor appointments or to the food pantry. Stephen's evenings were often spent among friends having meaningful conversations or sharing a meal. Stephen was a dedicated Climate League volunteer. We will miss his great heart, his laughter, insights and kindness.
Photo contributed by B. Neighbors. In Stephen's memory, a friend is creating a slide deck of photos of Stephen. This will be shared among friends and his family. If you have any photos you would like to contribute, please send them to [email protected].
