John and I
are working
Tues, Wed, & Thurs
this week
This week we'll be open our regular hours on Tuesday and Wednesday, and until 3:00PM on Thursday.
There are still a few available appointments. Call/text @ 479-459-8972 to book an appointment.
I’m trying a new auto reminder system for appointments. And as with anything new, there’s a learning curve.
You’ll get a text notification when I enter the appointment into the app, then a second text as a reminder 48 hours before your appointment. The text will come from a number with an 844 area code.
There will be a link at the bottom of the second text and all you have to do to confirm is tap on the link. It will take you to a page with confirmation of your appointment, day, date, time, service, etc.
Don’t freak out if you get several texts, last week someone got 5! I’m still working out the details. 😃
Thanks to the best clients in the world, we had a great re-opening week! Your patience, caring, and compliance means the world to us.
I know I say it all the time, but it's so true and bears repeating. You are the best clients and we appreciate you every single day. ❤️
Going forward, this will be our new normal. We'll all be wearing masks, clients waiting in their car until we wave them in, and extra sanitation. Stay safe and healthy!
We are open!
Governor Hutchinson gave us the go ahead to re-open Wednesday 5/6. We’ve cleaned and sanitized the salon and are ready to open.
A few things will be different. We can’t have more than 1 client per stylist or nail tech, so there won’t be more than 8 people in the salon at a time. Please come to your appointment alone.
We trust you not to come in if you’re sick or have been exposed to someone who’s sick. Please reschedule your appointment if you, or someone you’ve been around, has a cough or fever.
Everyone will need to wear a mask, including us.
Please stay in your car when you arrive, text to let us know you’re there and we’ll text you or wave when you can come in.
When you come in, please wash your hands or use our hand sanitizer. There will be a bottle on the desk.
For the time being we won’t have any cookies or snacks. We will still have coffee, water, and sodas. Please ask your stylist to get it for you, we’d like to limit the number of people touching commonly used items.
We’re excited to get back to work and see everyone again! 💇🏼♀️💅🏻👏🏻
Thank you to our wonderful clients for being patient during this pandemic. It looks like we may reopen on May 4th. 🤞🏻
I feel confident that our salon is safe as long as we all follow a few guidelines.
Please come to your appointment alone. If you feel sick, have an elevated temperature, or have been exposed to someone who is sick, please stay home. With the number of stylists and the configuration of the salon, there won't be more than 8 people in the salon at any time so social distancing won't be an issue.
We’ll be wearing a mask and ask you to wear one also. 😷
If you arrive early, please text us to let us know you're there and stay in your vehicle until we wave you in.
Ours is an industry that is very dedicated to sanitation and we will continue to maintain those standards going forward. Every state that has set a date for salons to reopen has a long list of rules, including requiring everyone wear a mask. I’m sure Arkansas will be the same. Between now and May 4th we’ll be deep cleaning and sanitizing the salon and will be taking extra precautions after we open to maintain a safe, clean salon.
We’ve missed you all and can’t wait to see everyone again. ♥️
Good or bad, nothing lasts forever. Miss you all! ♥️😷💅🏻
We’ve been officially closed for over a week now. How’s everyone doing? We’re eating too much and watching too much Netflix, not doing as much cleaning and purging as I thought we would, but we’re good.
Today I gave John a mini manicure. An interesting benefit of not being able to touch your face is that John’s fingernails are growing after a lifetime of nail biting. If this quarantine lasts long enough he may break the habit completely.
While we’re all washing our hands so much, it’s good to remember to moisturize your hands and nails. Massage Solar Oil into your nails every night and lotion your hands every time you wash.
Hope to be back in the salon soon! Stay safe and healthy. 😁
I have a feeling this is going to last long enough that some of you are going to have to remove your GelColor and Shellac at home. 😟. This is a great tutorial for removal from natural nails, not nails with overlays. If I dip your nails, this isn’t for you. Also, make sure your remover has acetone in it or this won’t work.
If you don’t have the supplies, text me and I’ll suggest alternatives. Please don’t peel the color off of your nails. 🙏
Stuck at home and need your gels removed?! We've got you covered. Use this step-by-step approach to remove your gel nail polish at home.
Under normal circumstances, we wouldn’t suggest a DIY gel removal, and we want to caution that improper removal can cause nail damage, ouch! To help come up with this tutorial, we reached out to OPI Educator @nailartbysig to outline the proper steps to remove your gel nail polish manicure at home in a safe and effective way.
We suggest adding your favorite nail strengthener like OPI Nail Envy as a final step to ensure your nails stay as healthy as possible until we can all get back into our favorite salons.

So far this has been my most popular Spring color. 🌸
Carnation Bliss is a limited edition, cool-toned pink. Will you be adding it to your color portfolio?
Governor Hutchinson just closed salons for the time being. Stay safe and well. Hopefully we’ll see you soon. 🤞🏻
We're open and working our usual schedules. If you aren't feeling well, are high risk, or just feel safer not coming in please call or text 479-459-8972 to reschedule.
Our usual cleaning/sanitizing routines have been stepped up to ensure your health and safety as well as ours.
We're a small salon and that works in our favor now because it's rare that there are more than 8 people in the salon at one time.
Keeping the number of people in the salon low will help us all stay healthy, so please don't bring anyone with you to your
appointment.
We've told our kids their whole lives that nothing lasts forever, good or bad. This tough and scary, but we'll get through this.
As always, our clients are our first priority. With that in mind, we’ve cleaned the salon surfaces with our usual disinfectant cleaner and will continue to clean in between clients.
Today’s recommendation regarding the Coronavirus is to avoid groups of 10 or more people and to keep 6 feet between you and other people. An advantage to our small salon is that even if all 4 of us are working at the same time, which is rare, there are typically 8 people in the salon and we’re far more than 6 feet apart.
Hopefully these measures will continue to keep us all healthy.
We’ve been talking a lot about hand washing, etc. lately so I thought it would be good to go over our sanitation policy.
Your health and safety are important to us. I wash my hands or use hand sanitizer before each nail client in addition to having the client wash their hands. In addition, I use disinfecting wipes to clean the manicure table between clients.
We use Barbicide, an E.P.A. registered sanitizer, to sanitize combs. Hairbrushes and other hair tools are cleaned and placed in a UV sanitizer.
All metal tools, cuticle pushers, nippers, etc. are cleaned and placed in a UV sanitizer then stored in a closed container.
A new Belava foot bath liner is used for every pedicure.
Hopefully this continues to keep us all healthy!
