To streamline communication and better serve our customers, our unit updates on Army contracting news and information will now be shared through the headquarters social media—our organization's physical location remains the same.
By Feb. 26, 2026, the MICC will consolidate its social media presence of all subordinate pages under the MICC headquarters in accordance with Secretary of the Army Directive 2025‑25. This transition will ensure MICC social media platforms are a more reliable source for news and information about Army contracting across the continental United States.
Streamlining our unit pages ensures followers receive consistent, accurate and timely updates — direct from the highest level of the MICC command. By speaking with one authoritative voice, the MICC can better highlight the issues that matter most to our customers, mission partners, Soldiers, and Army Civilians. Consolidation also removes outdated or duplicate accounts and strengthens the quality, clarity, and impact of MICC communication.
When this social media transformation is complete, MICC content creators at all levels within the command, across 30 MICC locations worldwide, will work together to provide a unified, simplified and trustworthy single source across four social media platforms, to deliver vital information required to understand the MICC’s mission, contracting priorities & opportunities, and our impact on Warfighters through the power of Army Contracting.

Recently the 923rd Contracting Battalion had the honor of hosting Command Sergeant Major Bright, the MICC Command Sergeant Major, during her battlefield circulation.
CSM Bright started her visit by joining the Battalion for morning PT, setting the tone with energy and motivation. She then experienced a helicopter tour of the 1st Infantry Division footprint, gaining perspective on the operational environment that shapes our mission.
At midday, she connected with the NCOs of the Battalion over lunch, reinforcing the importance of leadership at every level. Later, she presented several MICC coins to remarkable Soldiers and Civilians, recognizing their outstanding contributions and dedication to the mission.
The day concluded with an engaging Q&A session with the entire Battalion—including our valued civilian teammates—where she shared insights, answered questions, and emphasized the critical role our formation plays in supporting readiness across the Army.
The Soldiers and civilians of the 923rd CBn truly appreciated her time, mentorship, and presence. Thank you, CSM Bright, for your leadership and for spending the day U.S. Army Contracting CommandU.S. Army Mission and Installation Contracting Command418th Contracting Support Brigade1st Infantry Division1st Combat Aviation Brigade, 1st Infantry Divisiony Division

On 10 September 2025, 1-63 AR conducted an M4A1 Carbine Zeroing and Qualification Range.
Weapon system preparation, practice, and qualification are essential to both personal and military readiness in the U.S. Army.
This event would not have been successful without the support and dedication of the Range OIC 1LT Ernst, Morgan and RSO SFC Chowka, Tyler, who ensured safe operations, effective training, and provided Soldiers from the 923rd CBN the opportunity to participate. Their leadership and guidance enabled Soldiers to sharpen their marksmanship skills, build confidence, and enhance overall combat readiness.
In recognition of their outstanding support, the Range OIC 1LT Ernst, Morgan and RSO SFC Chowka, Tyler were presented with coins as a token of appreciation.

On Wednesday July 16th 2025 we stood on sacred ground—where history, sacrifice, and service echo through the generations.
At Camp Funston, where over 50,000 Soldiers trained for World War I, we gathered to celebrate a major milestone in a modern warrior’s journey. MSG Memic was officially frocked to the rank of Sergeant Major, not far from the very stone monument erected in December 1918 to honor those who answered the call over a century ago.
This monument reminds us that Soldiers from the 10th, 89th, and 92nd Divisions began their journey right here under the leadership of General Leonard Wood. Today, MSG Memic joins that legacy of leadership, stepping into a role that demands vision, humility, and strength.
To SGM Memic—your dedication and commitment represent the very best of what this monument stands for. Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition. May your leadership continue to inspire, and may the history beneath our feet guide your path ahead.
