Direwolf Blackhawk Maintainers Private First Class Manning(left) promoted to the rank of Specialist by the BN CSM and Specialist Sowell(right) passed the promotion board and will be attending BLC and promoting to an NCO in the near future.
Congratulations to both of these gentlemen!

Direwolf 15T’s and SHOPS participating in UMARK training. They are trained to use this equipment in the event they need to rig up an aircraft to be slung out by another aircraft.

The Direwolves were able to get a change of pace from aircraft maintenance and conducted driver’s training at night and with night vision goggles.

Direwolves took part in virtual Army Ten Miler today!

1st Infantry Division and Fort Riley honor the memories of the souls we lost on September 11, 2001, and pay tribute to all patriots and their families who have sacrificed their lives in defense of freedom.

On December 18, 2001, President Bush signed Public Law No: 107 89, designating September 11 as Patriot
Day. In 2009, Congress designated September 11 as a National Day of Service and Remembrance. On this day,
the American flag is flown at half staff. A moment of silence begins at 8:46 a.m. EDT, the time the first plane
struck the North Tower of the World Trade Center.
