'Follow your heart' sounds inspiring — but Jesus said something completely different. In Luke 9:23, He calls us to deny ourselves, pick up our cross DAILY, and follow Him. That cross wasn't a decoration to His audience. It meant death. And that's exactly what He's asking of us — death to self, every single day.
