Over the last couple of weeks, between calls, summer storms, and braving the Florida heat, LeeFlight had the opportunity to train with all shifts of the Matlacha Pine Island Fire Department through a series of Landing Zone Safety classes and EC-135 helicopter demonstrations.
These sessions covered helicopter and landing zone safety, air medical capabilities, and when and how to utilize air medical resources. We appreciate the engagement, professionalism, and commitment to safety shown by everyone involved.
Thank you to Matlacha Pine Island Fire Department for your partnership and dedication to keeping our crews, first responders, and patients safe. We look forward to continuing to work together in service of our community.

Their sacrifice, courage, and dedication will never be forgotten. 🇺🇸

Happy EMS Week from all of us at LeeFlight! 🚁🚑🚒
This week, we want to recognize all EMS professionals — both ground and air — who work around the clock to care for our communities. It takes all of us working together to provide the best care possible for our communities.
We also want to recognize the retired EMS professionals whose years of dedication helped shape the EMS community we know today.
And a special shoutout to the LeeFlight paramedics — Rob, Derrick, Dylan, Travis, Blake, and Adrian — for the teamwork, professionalism, and commitment they bring to every mission.
Thank you to everyone in EMS for everything you do for our communities.

This has been a crazy busy week, starting off with visits to Lee and Collier County hospital ERs to say hello, thank our nurses, and drop off snacks for Nurses Week.
We also had multiple outreach and training events with Bonita Springs Fire Department and Braxton College. We hosted a Landing Zone class for Bonita Springs Fire Department’s newest hires, followed by LeeFlight landing at their training center for a static display and close-up look at the EC-135 helicopter.
We then completed our final two advanced airway classes for Bonita Springs Fire Department, wrapping up a total of six airway classes together.
To wrap up the week, we welcomed close to thirty EMS students from Braxton College to the LeeFlight base, where they had the opportunity to get a close-up look at our helicopter, equipment, and daily operations.
Thank you to all of our community partners for the continued support, collaboration, and commitment to education and patient care.
