Last week, our mobile team came together to celebrate a strong quarter, share a few laughs, and recharge for what's next. Building great products takes collaboration, trust, and a team that's always ready to tackle the next challenge.

What does it take to build better products?

Before the roadmap, before development, before a single line of code gets written, teams need alignment.

Last week, the Eightpoint team spent the day with Alistair Cockburn, co-author of the Agile Manifesto, and Djordje Babic, Senior Product Manager at Rivian, exploring what it really means to define product requirements and create shared understanding across teams.

Through hands-on workshops and a live product initiative, we mapped stakeholders, clarified requirements, challenged assumptions, and developed a common framework for turning ideas into ex*****on.

One insight that stuck with us:

Recently, the Eightpoint team had the opportunity to spend the day on the water and enjoy dinner alongside our partner at Google. It was a chance to connect outside of the day-to-day, exchange ideas, celebrate shared successes, and strengthen the partnerships that continue to create value for everyone involved.

Sometimes the best collaboration happens when you step away from the screen.

Last week, members of our Browser team traveled to our Fort Myers office to spend time with the team for a week of collaboration, team outings, shared meals, and a little friendly competition at Dave & Buster's.

Strong products are built by strong teams. Taking time to connect, exchange ideas, and have fun together helps us do our best work and keep moving forward.

Last week, our Director of Engineering, Jhoan Falcon, led an internal Lunch & Learn on one of the most important questions facing modern engineering teams: how do we integrate AI in ways that strengthen our products, our systems, and our decision-making?

The conversation explored practical AI adoption through the lens of engineering quality, team alignment, and long-term scalability.

A few key takeaways:
→ AI is quickly becoming part of the standard engineering toolkit. The opportunity is adopting it intentionally, without sacrificing maintainability or long-term product health.
→ Strong engineering fundamentals remain a competitive advantage. Architecture, code review, naming conventions, and system design matter more than ever.
→ Shared understanding is critical. As AI accelerates individual workflows, teams must work even harder to maintain a collective view of how systems are built and evolve.

One reflection from Jhoan that sparked discussion across the team:
"AI changes what we notice, not just what we produce. The teams that win on AI won't be the ones that adopted fastest. They'll be the ones that adopted with judgment intact."
