We are DappeRascaL. We play Rock in the style of Jam, Funk, Blues and Progressive nuggets of love.
Anyone else find it hard to stay inspired? Everything feels different and uncomfortable.
Anyway, working on a new song, maybe even an album if life permits.

See you tonight!
What a day! Session drops tonight
This song was born in the space between what I witnessed and what I could no longer ignore. For years, I felt the quiet ache of watching power twist itself into something unrecognizable. Grand halls filled with noise but starved of truth, decisions made in the dark that left the rest of us stumbling in the fallout. I tried to stay focused on my own corner of life, but the weight of all that double-dealing and manufactured chaos pressed in until the only way to breathe was to write. The song became a kind of reckoning; my attempt to give shape to the unease so many feel but rarely name.
I didn’t set out to preach, only to be honest. When institutions start wearing masks and calling it leadership, when the people meant to safeguard the future treat it like something disposable, silence feels like complicity. So I wrote from that tension, from frustration sharpened into clarity. The song is simply what surfaced when I stopped holding it back…a reminder that truth has a way of demanding its own voice, even when the world would rather it stay quiet.
wrote this for my wife a few years ago, back when I was playing out nonstop and we were at the very beginning of raising our girls. Life was a whirlwind work draining us, sleep in short supply, responsibilities stacking higher every day. And yet, through all of it, we were fiercely committed to carving out time for each other, as if chiseling it into stone so nothing could take it away from us.
It has never been lost on me that this extraordinary woman chose me. In a world full of noise and distraction, of temptations and easy escapes, she is the one I would choose again, and again, and again. She is my flashlight, my compass, the quiet miracle in the chaos. And every version of me, in every lifetime imaginable, would always find my way back to her.
So thank you Rachel, this one’s for you.
