Elite Turf Care
Welcome to my page which is all about lawn care and reel mowing.
Make edging your lawn easy and use a stick edger. It's a fast, accurate, and consistent way to get laser sharp edges every time.
In this video I am using the ECHO USA PE-225 to shred these overgrown Bermudagrass edges with ease 💪
This grass is amazing ⬇️
It's called Bermudagrass. It goes completely dormant in the winter, turning straw brown. Then in the spring, we scalp all the brown off and the grass grows back new from the soil. By summer time, it's back to a lush green carpet again.

Lawn update 6/14/26 ⤵️
Happy Sunday friends,
Things are finally starting to take off here in the upstate South Carolina region after the biggest drought in 20 years and what felt like the coolest spring in recent memory. The trenches from the sprinkler install completed in early April are beginning to narrow now that the Bermudagrass is stretching its legs with the warmer temperatures. I'm hopeful that the fill in process will be completed in the next month so I can apply a final application of sand to level things off. I'm currently mowing the majority of the lawn about every 4 days at .3 inches using the Toro Greensmaster flex 2100. With growth starting to increase and a vacation coming up shortly, I have applied my first application of plant growth regulator to keep things under control.
I hope everyone is having a great weekend. Talk to you soon 👊👊
-Chris
How to edge with rotary scissors⤵️
1️⃣ Start vertically to create that sharp edge. Take your time and don't make the gap too wide.
2️⃣ Fade the top to hit any stragglers that were flipped up from step one.
3️⃣ Blow the gap clean to show off that beautiful edge.
👉 Let me know if you have any questions about this tool
This can be a tricky area to edge cleanly, so I prefer using my power rotary scissors for precise results. Compared to a string trimmer, there's less risk of scalping the grass or accidentally damaging the surrounding turf.
This is my peace👇
No matter what kind of day I'm having, I always find my way back here.
What's the thing that helps you reset?
I prefer using a stick edger along sidewalks, curbs, and driveways. It makes the job quick and easy especially with an overgrown edge like this one.
👉What do you think of the before and after transformation?
I started with a manual reel mower, and I highly recommend it.
It teaches you the fundamentals: frequent mowing, low cutting heights, and proper reel-to-bedknife adjustments.
But be warned... this hobby has a way of escalating.
What starts as a simple push reel mower can quickly turn into a full-blown obsession.
Before long, I found myself mowing with golf course equipment—the highest level of reel mowing there is.
