Summary
The Line Technician position requires a person with a combination of strong mechanical and basic electrical experience and aptitude. This person will be self-motivated, self-directed, and able to understand and troubleshoot a variety of mechanical processes. The expectation for this individual is to fully participate in both Production and Maintenance. They will apply their skill, understanding, and experience to learn, maintain and repair industrial processes. They will practice and promote preventative maintenance to drive and achieve continuous improvement.

Functions/Responsibilities
• Conduct, behavior and actions in accordance with Oxco core values of Caring, Creativity, Determination, Dependability and Teamwork
• Conduct, behavior and actions in accordance with Oxco’s Valued Colleague Pledge
• Learn and understand manufacturing processes, how things work and why by operating machinery, reading manuals, schematics and procedures, and through hands-on training.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues as they arise. Determine root cause, fix the problem with long term solutions, and recommend equipment needed to fix the problem.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
• Support operations and operational objectives – produce quality product, maintain and improve processes and procedures.
• Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report them to proper supervision.
• Always maintain clean and production ready equipment and work area.
• Maintain and improve shop cleanliness and organization.
• Be prepared to work in various conditions.
• Efficiency - work in the most productive and efficient manner while maintaining safe operating practices and quality workmanship
• Raise any issues or concerns that arise day to day work to the Supervisor, Plant Manager, or President

Qualifications:

Education:
• High School or GED

Experience:
• 3 years’ experience in a warehouse

Skills:
• High attention to detail – accuracy in entering data and in communicating information with others; ability to see errors and identify inconsistencies
• Problem Solving – work independently and with others to resolve issues
• Collaboration – Work effectively with other personnel to achieve established outcomes

License or Certification:
• N/A
