HHT, 7-17th CAV Ruthless Riders

Here is the current status of services on Fort Hood as of 14 August.

This information came out last week Thursday, but in order to ensure everyone is aware, a new general order was published restricting travel to Austin or outside of 100 miles unless you receive Squadron Commander approval.

Today we held our Ruthless Holiday Party where we gathered the Troop for food, games, and to enjoy some time together outside of the workplace. We played multiple holiday themed games and also held a White Elephant gift exchange for those that wanted to participate. Thanks to gracious care packages each Soldier was given a Christmas hat and Stocking filled with goodies.

Thank you to all the troopers who came out and as always thank you to our families supporting us from home; we couldn’t do it without your support. RUTHLESS!

Ruthless Troopers enjoyed a fantastic Thanksgiving meal put on by our Dining Facility!

Soldiers and Families came out on Thanksgiving Day to enjoy live music and great food!

Happy Saturday! This morning a group of Ruthless Troopers ran the USAG-Humphreys Thanksgiving 5K. Events like this bring the Troop together for a fun, competitive, and entertaining morning. Our very own CPT Brown won 2nd place in the Male age 29 and under category with a finish time of 18:06!

Today we officially welcomed our KATUSA counterparts to the team.

Your Troopers continue to improve themselves and their equipment during our weekly Motor Stables.

This morning during our combat focused PRT Ruthless Troop was joined by COL Watkins, Commander of 2nd Combat Aviation Brigade.

We conducted a field expedient variation of the Sprint, Drag, Carey event. This event is one of 6 events from the Army’s new Combat Fitness Test. This particular event is a test of strength, endurance, and anaerobic capacity, which are needed to accomplish high intensity combat tasks that last from a few seconds to several minutes.

Yesterday we had the honor of promoting PFC Kleponis to the rank of Specialist. SPC Kleponis is one of our 68W Combat Medics. He works tirelessly to provide first class medical care to the Troopers of our Squadron. Well deserved and congratulations! RUTHLESS!

Ruthless Troop was up early conducting Combat Focused PRT this morning. Your Troopers are putting in hard work as we continue the Relief in Place process.
