SRU Bee-Covery Program

The SRU Bees are working hard to harvest pollen for their winter storage! Amazing work Beecovery Program!!

Our Soldiers are braving the Texas July heat to work with the SRU Bees at Fort Cavazos. Our hives are strong and doing well thanks to their dedication!

We are growing! Our Nuc was installed Friday (had bad weather on Thursday) and feeding commences. The first installed hive is growing and we have added a second deep, will probably add a super this week depending on how it looks Friday.

The SRU Bee yard is back for another year. First hive installed with queen sighting today. The next hive will arrive later this spring. It’s going to Bee so much fun!

Over 2,000 service members already enrolled for the 2024 Heroes to Hives course that starts March 29, 2024! This is our 4th year of over 2,000 students in the course!
