COL Anderson (RCAO Dep Asst Commandant) & COL Medlin (CoS-ARNG Affairs/Senior Guard Advisor) from the Reserve Component Affairs Office drop in for frequent visits to talk to SCCC-RC students about career paths and preparing to become FGOs. This is an opportunity for students to ask questions specifically related to USAR & USARNG Signal units, career advancement, and ADOS/ADT assignment opportunities.

SCCC-RC students take time during each Resident Phase 1 & 3 courses to meet up with the USAR & USARNG students from the BOLC classes to talk about what it’s like to juggle the Army / Civilian life, what to expect when they report to their first unit, how to prepare themselves for challenging positions that are not always staffed properly, and how to lead USAR & USARNG soldiers who have not had a good experience with past leaders. These mentoring sessions are an invaluable opportunity to build relationships and networks in their Army careers and personal lives.

Starting on October 1, 2022, every Service Member enrolled in a PME course is required to take a record HT/WT and ACFT to meet HQDA physical readiness requirements. All resident Phase I SCCC-RC courses meet on Barton Field at 0530 on the first Wednesday of the course to take their record ACFT with the support from 442nd HQ/A and SLDC Staff.
