Homeward Alliance is fortunate to have many generous community partners, and today we want to shine a spotlight on one of them: !

uchealth’s commitment to investing in nonprofits tackling our community’s most pressing challenges is exactly what makes collaboration possible at the Murphy Center. Their support helps make sure the agencies working side by side on-site — from resource navigation to behavioral health to employment services — have what they need to help individuals and families find a path out of homelessness.

Thank you, uchealth, for seeing the power of what happens when partners work together. We’re proud to be one of them.

It’s often said that the back door of every failed system is the front door of the homeless shelter.

In the latest episode of From Here to Home, you’ll hear the speech David Rout gave at our recent Un-GalaXY fundraiser — a powerful, clear-eyed look at why homelessness is so common, and what it actually takes to address it. If you’ve ever wondered how someone ends up without a home, this episode answers that question in a way that’s hard to forget.

Earlier this month, James and Lizzy did something that takes real courage… they shared their story in front of a roomful of strangers.

They’re housed. They’re in recovery. And the way James put it stayed with everyone in the room: “It is amazing to be on this side of the fence.”

We hope you’ll take a few minutes to listen to what your support helps make possible. https://youtu.be/lMZWBOw1bL4

In just three hours, you can help collect over $1,500 worth of food for families and individuals experiencing homelessness in our community. We need volunteers at the Fort Collins Sam’s Club on Saturday, May 30th from 10am to 1pm. All materials provided — just show up and hang out with everyone’s favorite Volunteer Coordinator (Shannon!). Bring your team, your family, or a few friends. It’s a great opportunity for teens (with an adult), and a chance to spend a few hours with people who want to make a difference. Email [email protected] to sign up. ❤️

Summer means sunshine, splash pads, and... shorts that actually fit. Help us make sure every kid in Larimer County is dressed for the season.

We’re collecting summer clothing for children and teens experiencing or at-risk of homelessness — now through September.

Drop off at the Murphy Center for Hope (242 Conifer St, Fort Collins) any Monday, Wednesday, or Friday from 2–4 pm. Questions or need a different drop-off time? Email [email protected] or call (970) 568-5700.
