autumnal is a fuzz folk band from Fort Collins and Denver, Colorado. They combine the storytelling of folk songwriting with the tones and pedals of shoegaze to create a unique sound they've dubbed 'fuzz folk'. autumnal is fronted by childhood best friends Annalee Knies on guitar and vocals and Geneva Hein on synth and vocals. They are rounded out by Justice Murray on bass and Nina Dorighi on drums. Their lyrics detail the lives of twenty-somethings navigating the world; writing about everything from queerness to climate change. They strive to make the music scene a move inclusive space for anyone who wants to get involved, starting with their own shows.

Wooh! In one week we celebrate the Northern Colorado music scene in style at the FoCoMA Peer Awards - Joining the party to help ‘bring the noise’ is - From Southern California, Foreign Suns formed in 2014 as a duo of guitar and drums. These boys are in it for the long haul. They released their first album “Transients” in 2015 followed by the second album “Shadow Music” in 2018, and three more RIPPING singles in 2025. Now with years of experience under their belt writing and producing their songs in garages and mixing in bedrooms while pushing their creative boundaries. They have recently added a bassist to their roster that adds all new depth to the sound.
But don’t be fooled by this dance-until-you-sweat energy, they’ll pull at your heart string too and slow you down into melodic sway. Foreign Suns brings a dynamic performance full of ups and downs. You’ll be thrashing around in the crowd, singing along with the chaos, and in the next instant your heart will ache to the beat of a nostalgic melody you wish you’d heard sooner. They give meaning to mayhem and will have you bouncing off the walls, feeling your feels, and dancing your heart out. Regardless of your genre bias these guys put on a show that will leave you eager for the next.

FoCoMA Peer Awards is an opportunity to celebrate the Northern Colorado music scene, award outstanding accomplishments, and discover new music as a community!

There will be light refreshments, and a cash bar. Dress up if you like, but casual is fine too.

Music Trivia at The Lyric approaches quickly - we’re super excited to introduce Charlie Stevens as our next musical guest on February 4th! Charlie Stevens is a guitarist and music instructor based in Fort Collins, Colorado. Charlie graduated from the University of Northern Colorado, in May of 2019, earning a music performance degree, with a dual emphasis in classical, and bluegrass guitar.
Originally from New Haven, Connecticut, Charlie has been playing live performances for almost a decade and has played with many bands, and musicians, at notable venues in both Connecticut, and Northern Colorado.
Charlie has been teaching private music lessons for 5 years and enjoys watching the successes of his students as they discover their love for music..

With their commitment to the "classic rock show," the band infuses the scene with the vibrant spirit of the ‘70s. Featuring Kaeden Keys and Ryder King on guitars and vocals, Jude Pfanstiel on bass and vocals, and Nick Schwartz on drums and vocals, Velvet Daydream boasts a lineup where every member shines as a lead. Their vintage aesthetics—complete with long hair, bell-bottoms, and boots—are more than just a nod to the past; they’re a statement of authenticity in a genre that’s been fading from the spotlight.

Celebrating exciting musical styles from around the world, Saxophonist/Clarinetist/Composer Andrew Vogt leads Twirling Zucchinis - a quartet that blends jazz, polka, klezmer, Irish jig, tango and gypsy swing into a spirited and engaging musical show. Focusing on original songs as well as classic melodies this quartet offers up a highly unique and energetic musical experience that blends top notch and precise musicianship with fun and humor. Travel around the world and through space and time with Twirling Zucchinis! Twirling Zucchinis is heading into the studio this year to record a new full-length album!
