Found this cool spot along the North Fork Big Thompson River while snowshoeing a couple of days ago.

The largest aspen grove in Colorado is located at Kebler Pass. It has over 47,000 genetically identical Aspens and it's one of the largest living organisms in the world. I think it's a really magical place and the last time I was there, I found this little spot.

Backpacked along the Piedra River in the San Juan National Forest last week. Made this image of the river with moonlight streaking across and illuminating the mountains and cottonwood trees.

Here's a new Milky Way image I made during a recent backpack into the Flat Tops Wilderness of Colorado. I sat out in the dark and watched the Milky Way rise from behind the mountain. It was so bright, I thought it was the Moon coming up.

nice spot, cool tree, good beer

I recently moved to Fort Collins, CO and I haven't been able to post any new work for a while. Heck, I haven't even had time to make any new work for a while. This week, I finally made it up high, to a dark sky area that happens to be just down the road from me.

I backpacked up to 11,000ft in the Rawah Wilderness and made this image of the Milkyway. It's big and wild up there.
